About this newsletter
I started this space because I wanted somewhere to write more openly about health, wellbeing, performance, and psychological change.
I’m a psychotherapist by profession, so a lot of what I think about comes from working in mental health, reading, and staying curious about how people change, cope, struggle, and grow. Over time, I realised I had thoughts and reflections that I wanted to share beyond the therapy room.
I’ve also been an athlete for most of my life, and that has shaped how I think too. I’m interested in the connection between mind and body, and in the small things that can genuinely make life feel better.
Here you can expect writing that draws from psychology, health, performance, and everyday life. Some posts will be practical. Some will be more reflective or personal. Some may begin with something small and open into a bigger question.
I enjoy exploring new ideas and practices - things like breathwork, sauna, cold exposure, nutrition, focus, recovery, and emotional wellbeing. When I come across something useful, interesting, or worth thinking about, I’ll share it here.
Why subscribe?
Subscribing is the easiest way to keep up with new posts. They’ll go straight to your inbox, so you don’t have to remember to check the site or app.
Everything here is free to read.
Thanks for being here.

The “Wine Is Healthy” Story Returns
A couple of years ago my neighbour was turning 80. I knocked on his door, ready to say happy birthday over the doorstep.
Before I could blink, I was already sat on his sofa with a glass of red wine in my hand...
